Late Treat Bonanza 2024: Mid-Year Bonanza - Schedule and Rules

Hi! Welcome to the Late Treat Mid-Year Bonanza. Late Treat Bonanza is an event designed to encourage people to finish up late fanwork gifts they intend to give to other people. The Mid-Year Bonanza is the edition in the middle of the year that is timed for a late June reveal with a 1-week anonymous period. While late treats are always allowed, the intention of this event is to give people structure, deadline, occasion, and/or company to make someone a present, regardless of how long ago the gift was started or intended to be made. This event is inspired by [community profile] happybelatedtreatmas, although with some notable differences, particularly in the way sign-ups work.

Mid-Year Bonanza 2024 Sign-up Post

Are you still interested in receiving gifts for events you participated in ages ago? Then sign up here! This is a place where you can indicate which events/fandoms you're still interested in late treats for, and it's a place where interested treaters can peruse old requests that definitely have an interested, active recipient.

Signing up doesn't commit you to making anything, so don't be shy!

If you have signed up for a previous round and would like to reuse your old sign-up comment:

All you have to do is make a comment here linking people to your old comment, indicating you are still interested in late treats. If you would like to find the link to your previous sign-up quickly, you may want to check out this spreadsheet. (If you are able to edit your original sign-up comment, you are welcome to.)

Please do NOT split information across comments in multiple rounds -- I only have space to link to one comment, so all sign-up information should be contained in one comment, whether that's an old comment or a fresh one. If you would like to post a new sign-up, see instructions below.

If you have not signed up in a previous round OR would like to post a new sign-up:

You need to give three things: your AO3 username, a link to your requests page in karanguni's amazing AO3 Automagic App, and any other notes you'd like to include. In these notes, you can specify which exchanges/events/fandoms/ships you're still interested in receiving treats for, include links to event sign-ups not scrapable through the above app, specify how you want your DNWs handled, etc.

For new participants, I will reply when I have inserted your fandom list into the spreadsheet and ask you to make any corrections. For old participants, I have already extracted fandom data and put it into the spreadsheet. If you have any corrections to make, let me know at the spreadsheet correction post.

Sign-ups close 23 June 23:59 PST (UTC-8).

Spreadsheet correction requests

Hi all, this year, we have a spreadsheet (two spreadsheets, actually: one for searching and one with the original data) that lists out all of the fandoms each participant has requested in the past. Putting together this spreadsheet was a mix of automated and manual effort, both of which introduce errors in their own way.

Please comment here if you notice any issues with your data in the spreadsheet, such as:
- Your username is spelled wrong.
- The links associated with your sign-up go to the wrong place or are broken.
- The list of fandoms associated with your username just looks totally wrong.
- The list of fandoms associated with your username is largely correct but you would like to add or remove some fandoms from the list.

If adding/removing fandoms, please give me a list with one fandom on each line.

Please note that extracting all the fandoms someone has ever requested is easy/trivial for me to do, but manually cleaning up fandom names to remove nearby variations is difficult and time-consuming, so I have not done this and it may not be practical for me to do much fandom name clean-up. When searching, I recommend using the text entry search to hit as many variations on a fandom name as possible and get around the issue of fandom name variations. However, if you think there is a severe issue with the fandom names that affects searching, feel free to bring it up here.
