Creators for Late Treat Bonanza 2025 have now been revealed and the collection is now closed for posting.

As mentioned at the start of this round, I will NOT be running a Mid-Year Bonanza this year. However, I *will* be running a round of crackthewip over here. Crack the WIP is a very flexible and simple event for finishing WIPs. This includes finishing up old gifts, works for past events, personal projects, etc., and it includes fanworks of any media. I've set the due date to be June 30th, which is a similar deadline to what the mid-year bonanza would have been, so if you're looking for an event to finish up some late treats, this might work for you! Note, however, that the Crack the WIP collection this year is revealed (i.e. works posted to it show up immediately rather than remain hidden) and there is no anonymous period for that event -- which may be a good or bad thing, depending on your needs!

Otherwise, I'll see you here in September for the next round of Late Treat Bonanza! Please let me know if you have any feedback or suggestions on how this round went and how future rounds should be run. At the moment, the only change I am planning on making is that I might tweak the terminology a bit to try to make it a little more clear at a glance what sign-ups do / how the event works in terms of creating vs. signing up. Let me know if you have any other suggestions.

Hi everyone! Sorry, I meant to post a reminder earlier. I feel like it's a bit of a busy period in exchange land at the moment, but this is just a reminder that the collection for Late Treat Bonanza will be opening a little bit more than one week from now (countdown)!

Be sure that your works are ready to go live by then. We currently have 5 late treats in the collection!

Sign-ups are also still open. It's a bit last-minute to sign up, but you can go ahead and do it before LTB ends for the year!

Hi everyone!

Just a reminder to sign-up or refresh your sign-up if you haven't already, as a way to let people know that you're still interested in late treats and which requests you're still interested in.

And work creating and posting is still ongoing. We have a couple of works in the collection already. Works are due 24 December, which is just about 7 weeks from now! Good luck with your creating. :)

Important announcements

Just a heads up that I have decided to discontinue the mid-year edition of Late Treat Bonanza. This is because I have a different WIP-finishing event I would like to run in the first half of next year, and so I need to free up my schedule during that time. (I'll be sure to share it here later, for anyone interested in finishing up late gifts or non-gift projects!)

Second, I am currently without a main laptop. I have already refreshed the sign-ups/fandom data for this year, but I haven't had time to check it in detail, so there may be mistakes/issues with it. Please let me know if you notice mistakes with it, and also please be patient as it might take me a bit longer than normal to fix issues. Thanks!

The creators for the Mid-Year Bonanza have been revealed and the collection is now closed for posting. I somehow managed to save the wrong collection settings twice, so sorry about that, but I hope everything is okay now. Thank you to everyone who took part, and I hope everyone enjoyed the surprise presents!

Hi everyone! Here's one last reminder before the Mid-Year Bonanza 2025 collection reveals: The work deadline/collection opening is coming up soon, on 23 June 23:59 PDT, in just over 3 days (here's a countdown if you need it). As the collection is opening late on Monday, this weekend might be a good chance to finalize any works you have sitting in the collection and make sure they're ready to go!

After the collection reveals, there will be a 1-week anonymous period, during which time people can still slip some (late) late treats into the collection. However, the collection will be closed for new works at 30 June 23:59 PDT, so be sure to get your treats in by then, or you'll need to wait until our next round!

Hi everyone! I apologize for the lack of reminders this round -- I took a look at the calendar and was shocked to see that there is just about ONE MONTH until works are due / the Mid-Year Bonanza AO3 collection is revealed. Time flies!

We currently have 4 works in the collection. Sign-ups are open until works are due i.e. 23 June 23:59 PDT (UTC-7).

Hi! Welcome to the Late Treat Bonanza. Late Treat Bonanza is an event that runs yearly leading up to Christmas with the aim of encouraging people to finish up late fanwork gifts that they intend to give to other people. While late treats are always allowed, the intention of this event is to give people structure, deadline, occasion, and/or company to make someone a present, regardless of how long ago the gift was started or intended to be made. This event is inspired by happybelatedtreatmas, although with some notable differences, particularly in the way sign-ups work.

All creators have now been revealed and the 2024 LTB collection is now closed for posting. Thank you to everyone who made someone a late gift, and I hope everyone enjoyed their surprise gifts! I know I did! :D

I'll see everyone again in late March for the next round of Late Treat Bonanza, Mid-Year edition.

Also, just a note that I will probably be switching both the spreadsheet and sign-up form to only use this "grouped by fandom" view of the Auto AO3 App (e.g. https://autoao3app.fandom.tools/#/everything/username/chacusha?groupby=fandom) rather than the "reverse chronological" view of the app (e.g. https://autoao3app.fandom.tools/#/everything/search/user/chacusha). If you prefer having a link to the chronological view in the spreadsheet or in sign-ups too, let me know, but otherwise, I will just switch over to using the grouped-by-fandom view.

Hi all, we are now about one week out from the reveal of the Late Treat Bonanza collection! The collection will be revealing promptly at 00:00 PST on 25 December (here's a countdown) so be sure your gifts are finalized and ready to reveal then. There will be a 1-week anonymous period during which you can slip some (late) late treats into the collection. However, the collection will close for posting at the end of 31 December (PST), so after that, your window for posting will close, at least for this year!

We currently have 4 works in the collection. You may want to check out the sign-ups page for people wanting late treats. Good luck with your late treating plans!

Hi everyone!

This is just a reminder that the work deadline for Late Treat Bonanza is one month from now, 24 December 23:59 PST (UTC-8). We currently have 2 works in the collection. Sign-ups are still open (will be open until the work deadline, although signing up earlier is better!).

Also, I tried to streamline the spreadsheet a little bit. If you're having any troubles with it, I recommend deleting any older copies of the spreadsheet you may have and make a fresh copy of the search spreadsheet. And do let me know if you're having any issues with it.

Late Treat Bonanza 2024 Sign-up Post

Are you still interested in receiving gifts for events you participated in ages ago? Then sign up here! This is a place where you can indicate which events/fandoms you're still interested in late treats for, and it's a place where interested treaters can peruse old requests that definitely have an interested, active recipient.

Signing up doesn't commit you to making anything, so don't be shy!

If you are new to Late Treat Bonanza and have not signed up before:

You need to give three things: your AO3 username, a link to your requests page in karanguni's amazing AO3 Automagic App, and any other notes you'd like to include. In these notes, you can specify which exchanges/events/fandoms/ships you're still interested in receiving treats for, include links to event sign-ups not scrapable through the above app, specify how you want your DNWs handled, etc.

Sign-up form:

After you post a sign-up, I will reply to your comment when I have inserted your fandom list into the spreadsheet and ask you to make any corrections. If you post signed-in, I will then delete my reply shortly afterward so that you are still able to edit your comment if you think of more things you want to add to it (comments with replies cannot be edited, but I believe that deleting the reply enables the ability to edit again). For those posting anon/guest comments, I will reply and leave the reply standing because guests aren't notified of replies and can't edit comments in any case. If you have any corrections to make, let me know at the spreadsheet correction post.

If you have previously signed up to Late Treat Bonanza:

You have two options: You can either make a fresh sign-up comment on this post (using the sign-up form above) or you can reuse an old sign-up. In order to do the latter, use the form below to make a comment here linking people to your old comment, indicating you are still interested in late treats. If you would like to find the link to your previous sign-up quickly, you may want to check out this spreadsheet. (If you are able to edit your original sign-up comment, you are welcome to.)

Please do NOT split information across comments in multiple rounds -- I only have space to link to one comment, so all sign-up information should be contained in one comment, whether that's an old comment or a fresh one.

For old participants, I have already extracted an updated list of your fandoms several days before this round started, and placed it into the spreadsheet. I have also tried to automatically scrape the list of fandoms in a way that reflects specifications in each user's comments. This includes: filtering out events ending after this round of LTB runs (i.e. events for which late treats are not yet possible); ignoring older events/requests if someone mentioned in their sign-up as only being in requests from [year] onward; removing specific fandoms a participant mentioned as not being interested in late treats for -- more info is available at the spreadsheet correction post. This automation isn't 100% reliable, however, so please do take a look at aforementioned spreadsheet and let me know if any corrections need to be made at the spreadsheet correction post.

Hi all! Just a heads up that Late Treat Bonanza 2024 (Year-End Edition) IS happening, but I am just running a bit late with it. Under normal circumstances, I would have liked to have posted the LTB info and sign-up posts by now, but I'm running into a few snags with my spreadsheets, which are more up to date, but also contain more errors/issues than I have time to correct manually. So I'll need a bit more time to fix up my scripts so that most of these errors can be fixed automatically.

So basically, LTB will be happening, with a deadline of 24 December, like last year. But sign-ups are not open just yet. I hope to have the spreadsheet issues fixed and sign-ups open within the next week!

Late treats should be posted to the AO3 Collection (and optionally to the collection of the original event the treat was for).

Sign-ups are also still open if you haven't signed up yet and you can browse sign-ups by fandom using this spreadsheet.
